We’ve scheduled three book events in April 2014 to celebrate the release of The Magazine: The Book, our first-year anniversary collection.
All events are free, open to the public (you don’t have to be a backer), and require no tickets. Books will be available for sale. Editor and publisher Glenn Fleishman will be at all three, and some contributors to the book and The Magazine will attend each event.
Portland, Oregon, April 30, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm: Reading Frenzy will host us, and we will have a special appearance by The Doubleclicks, a two-sister band that performs geeky tunes. Readings by Alison Hallett, Chris Higgins, John Patrick Pullen, and Elly Blue! 3628 N Mississippi Ave, Portland, OR 97227, (503) 274-1449 (map). Come see the book, buy a copy, and get it signed!
Seattle, April 2, from 7 to 9 pm: Join us at Ada’s Technical Books and Café in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Musician Marian Call, featured in the book, will be on hand to play a short set, and regular contributor Matthew Amster-Burton will perform his comedy stylings. We’ll have prints for sale from the Kickstarter campaign, too. 425 15th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112, (206) 322-1058 (map).
